The word pecalang means balinese traditional security. This is a voluntary job given by custom community. In Denpasar, there is an organization of pecalang named Pecalang Trijaga Mandala. Due to its activity, Denpasar Police Department gave reward to Pecalang Trijaga Mandala during Bhayangkara Day at year 2007. They have some outposts and a main post located at the office of Dauh Puri Sub-District (Kelurahan Dauh Puri).

On April 20, 2008, there was a spiritual procession in Denpasar. In this procession, the community of Pekambingan and Catur Panca walked from Jlih Lambih Temple to Tambangan Badung Temple. They walked about 1 km through some crowd streets in Denpasar City.  Pecalang Trijaga Mandala had securing the procession. Here are the photographs and video about their activity.
